Recipe and Meal Data

We store the recipes you save, import, or create, including titles, ingredients, instructions, images, and nutritional information. We also store your meal plans, grocery lists, and cookbook organization preferences.

Health and Nutrition Data

If you use our nutrition tracking features, we collect data you provide including food logs, calorie intake, macro nutrients, water intake, workout data, and body measurements such as weight. This data is stored securely and used solely to provide you with tracking and reporting features.

Apple Health Integration

With your explicit permission, KitchUp can read and write data to Apple Health, including steps, workouts, and weight. We do not share Apple Health data with third parties or use it for advertising. Apple Health data is only used within the app to display your health metrics and sync your tracking data.

Device and Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information about your device, including device type, operating system version, app version, language preferences, and general usage analytics to improve the Service.

Camera, Microphone, and Photos

With your permission, KitchUp accesses your camera to scan recipes from photos, barcodes, and nutrition labels. Microphone access is used for voice-based meal logging and recipe input. Photos are accessed to import recipe images. These permissions are only used when you actively initiate the relevant feature.

3. AI Features

KitchUp uses artificial intelligence to extract recipes from URLs, images, and text; suggest recipes based on your preferences; provide ingredient substitutions; and analyze nutrition data. Recipe data you provide may be processed by our AI systems to deliver these features. We do not use your personal recipe data to train AI models for other purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

Advertising

KitchUp displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings. We do not share your recipe, meal plan, or health data with advertising partners.

Analytics

We use analytics services to understand how users interact with the app. These services collect anonymized usage data to help us improve features and fix issues.

Authentication Providers

When you sign in with Apple, Google, Facebook, or Instagram, the respective provider’s privacy policy applies to the authentication process. We only receive the profile information you authorize.

Your data is stored securely on our servers. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
